Desired
Goals for Campbell Lodge Residents
While it is not possible to guarantee that all Campbell Lodge residents
will achieve all desired goals of their treatment and care plan, services
are provided in a good faith effort to help each resident reach his highest
potential. The desired goals for Campbell Lodge residents are:
Educational
The resident attends and participates in educational services appropriate
to his needs. The program helps residents to increase awareness of the
underlying barriers to their academic success and works to assist residents
in the refinement of their developing academic skills.
Health
The resident will, to the extent that he is able, maintain a state of
health sufficient to allow him to participate in typical, productive and
rewarding activities. In addition, self-care skills are learned and developed
that allow for increasing opportunities and competencies in the areas
of self-direction and self-sufficiency.
Behavioral
The resident develops the problem-solving, decision-making and coping
skills he needs to increase his social competence in order to function
in increasingly adaptive ways.
Social
The resident develops meaningful relationships with caregivers, peers,
and community members (e.g. neighbors, teachers, etc.) which are strengthened
by the enlargement of his interpersonal skill competencies.
Family
Campbell Lodge, the resident, and their families form a partnership that
allows the family to strengthen and restore itself by developing competencies
and skills that will enhance their capability to support and guide their
children.
Spiritual
Residents are encouraged to explore spiritual needs
and are supported in endeavors that seek expression, both private and
public, of these needs.
