Summer at CLBH
It’s been another busy summer for staff and residents. The boys have been to (or will be going to) the Cincinnati Zoo, Sunlite Pool, the Kentucky Horse Park, Kings Island, the Cincinnati Art Museum, Eden Park & Krohn Conservatory, Florence Aquatic Center, the Kenton County Fairgrounds, and Kentucky Cowtown in Williamstown. They’ve also been to the movies and to Reds’ games, gone bowling and canoeing, and visited the Cincinnati Mounted Police.
In addition to the field trips and outings, the boys have once again been learning independent living skills from special education teacher Diane Fossitt and yoga from volunteer yoga instructor Lynn Molitor. This was Lynn’s second summer of volunteering her time and talent to provide yoga instruction for the boys each week. Staff member Nick Lanham says yoga is another exercise outlet for the boys, and it helps them relax and concentrate.
“It teaches them to focus and put their energy to positive use.”
