Equine Center Update

Over $16,000 has been donated to date through our equine appeal mailing at the end of April. These donations and grants received in May and June have brought the total raised for the Equine Center Project to $518,132 – about $80,000 shy of our fundraising goal of $600,000. Not surprisingly, the final $100,000 has proved challenging to raise, but we are committed to reaching our goal and completing the project by the end of 2008. Most of the dollars raised so far have been spent on erecting the shell of the facility. While the facility is somewhat usable, there is still plenty of work to do and funds to raise to complete the interior.

Channel 9 (WCPO-TV) did a nice story on the project in early July. You can watch the video and read more about the project at www.kypost.com.
